New to us, Annette Gortz, is fabulously chic, especially the separates with coats. Art on the cat walk, heirlooms in the wardrobe! Back again is the glamorous yet well priced Pennyblack from Italy. The Alpha Studio, on the quieter side of Italian design, is much loved by customers. The attention to detail is second to none. Favourite so far is the poached plaid.

Bitte Kai Rand from Copenhagen always draws a crowd, each season witty and risqué. The stand out pieces are the dresses with cogs of devoeé in black and ochre, and a beautiful wool coat with higgelty piggelty pockets.

Lauren Vidal from Paris has anchored this Autumn collection in creative work wear. The response upon its arrival has been immediate. Knits, sometimes frosted, are feminine and the trousers on repeat prescription. Brilliant!

Mes Soeurs et Moi from Belgium just seems to rub along with everyone. This treasure trove of well coordinated clothing mainly in natural fabrics and competitively priced includes waffley cottons, jackets with stitchery and jacquards in caviar and sapphire. Nygardsanna from Sweden is firmly footed, environmentally in tune and traditionally inspired. Highlights in the winter months, the Harris tweed.
